Lake Ridge Church and Philip Nation

I had the privilege this week of meeting with Philip Nation, Pastor of Lake Ridge Church in Cumming, GA. Philip planted Lake Ridge alongside Ed Stetzer about 3 years ago. Cumming is located in Forsyth County just north of Atlanta. It is one of the fastest growing counties in the nation and one of the wealthiest. I learned that although there are a lot of churches in Forsyth County only about 20% of the people there attend a church.

Philip finds himself in the midst of a great opportunity to reach people in a booming Southern culture that continues to see people from all walks of life and backgrounds move into the area. Lake Ridge is a part of the Acts 29 Network and the Southern Baptist Convention. They are contemporary in style and comitted to God’s Word and making disciples. They have already been a part of planting two other churches in Georgia and are comitted to being a church that plants churches. I hope you will join me in praying for Philip and the people of Lake Ridge as they strive to be obedient to God’s call on their lives.
